Welcome to House Of Style 77, my name is Jessica! I'm a thirty-something skin therapist and make-up artist at Ulta Beauty, currently living in Gastonia, NC.  Here are some commonly asked questions, but feel free to email me if I didn't answer yours!

Where are you from?

I was born in Charlotte, NC and raised in Cramerton and Belmont NC.  I have lived in Louisburg, NC while attending Louisburg College were I received my degree in dance performance. I then lived in Raleigh for a year and then returned back home. I've also lived in Hickory, NC and Cherryville, NC but back to Gastonia I reside.  Belmont & Cramerton are smaller towns in Gastonia in which I have always adored and  has so much to offer, great restaurants and boutiques, as well as a ton of single and family living.

What is your natural hair color?

Honestly, I'm not really sure anymore, but I believe it's gotten darker. It had been a mousy brown but now I believe it's way darker, but we'll never know for sure because I can almost promise you I will never go natural!

How many children do you have?

I have three. Two bonus children, Raven who is 17 and Dylan who is 15. And my little munchkin, Rosaleigh who is 5.

How do you feel about your body image?

I've always struggled trying to have the perfect body. I danced my whole life and still was on the curvy side. As I've gotten older I've worked out consistently in the gym tried fad diets, cleanses, I've done it all. Some had great results while others just made me starve and then eat everything in sight. Now I've all of a sudden become more confident and more thankful of what my body has gotten me through over the years. I was a dancer, and only wish I could do the things my body could do then, at age twenty-seven I was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer, so now my left hip and femur are metal, but I can still put some moves on the dance floor.  I've had a baby and a second surgery on my leg and I can still walk and do just about anything which God has totally blessed me! I'm probably never going to have that dancer's body but this is what I got and I love my curves!

Why blogging?

I've started numerous blogs in my life but I was never consistent and changed my mind a million times on what I wanted to write about.  I love to write and I also love all things beauty as well as books and decor....so since I barely have enough time to write a full fledge book at the moment (I am a published author of Testimony of a Rock Star, you can purchase through Amazon) Blogging is the next best thing.
